Eliminating Gummy Smiles Painlessly with Lasers

Many patients present with what they consider a gummy smile or small teeth. Not all these cases need porcelain veneers or bonding. Amazingly, the gummy smile case can be treated with dental lasers painlessly. This allows us to raise the gum level of the teeth which makes the teeth appear more normal in size.

In our office, I use the laser every day. Lasers heal fast without pain as opposed to cutting with a blade. It sounds painful, but it is not and allows us to provide beautiful smiles. The photo shows a young teenager who had her braces removed. Her were very swollen and enlarged.
We used the laser to thin the gum tissue and raise the gum level so you could see her teeth.
I also use the lasers to create a more symmetrical smile line when necessary for restorative or cosmetic dentistry. Best of all, we can do this with no local anesthetic!!!
