Changes in Dental Care: The Revolution has Arrived
Changes in Dental Care: The Revolution has Arrived
I have seen and engaged in many changes in dentistry. In our office, dentistry has gone beyond the knowledge and science of only fixing teeth. Over the next three articles I will elaborate over several of these thoughts.
First, I am referring to assisting patients with TMJ pain and dysfunction. We no longer only look at the teeth and understand the balance of this system and its effect on posture, the health of the TMJ joint on the cervical complex, brainstem, and the muscular health which is compromised if the system is out of balance or overworked.
I have been amazed at the overall improvement, stability, and health of our patients that we are treating in this manner. From headaches, neckaches, and even hip problems, relief and long term stability has become a reality and not a dream.
If you have any questions about TMJ pain or its association with dental care and cervical problems, please do not hesitate to contact my office, Ronald W. Konig DDS, FAGD, LVIF, a Houston TMJ Dentist and Houston Cosmetic Dentist, 713-668-2289
