Porcelain Veneers: An Update
Porcelain Veneers: An Update

Porcelain veneers continue to be one of the best modalities for changing ones smile conservatively. Technology and advanced techniques have allowed me to extend porcelain veneer use in two ways:
1) 1) Prepless veneers or minimal prep veneers: in the past the porcelains used for this were really unesthetic and bulky. No real coloring could be seen on the veneers.
- I have found that Durathin Veneers allows me to provide an excellent esthetic result in many cases. The are much more esthetic and natural than Lumineers. I especially like using this for young adults, patients with completely healthy teeth, and for tetracycline stained teeth
2) 2 2) The advent of Emax ceramic system
Th -This is the most esthetic and strong porcelain that exists today. In addition to its strength, the system allows us to layer the porcelain with differnt shades, creating beautiful and esthetic results that can also have the proper tooth anatomy sculpted into the veneers. Both are essential for beautiful results. This has allowed us to do veneers on patients who are “tough” on their teeth.
Please see the photos which reveal dramatic and excellent results that can be achieved with proper design and treatment planning.
